13 December 2025: News flash...KLBC's Pierre Vanderhout will represent Switzerland at the Five Nations Test Match Series in Paphos, Cyprus, in March 2026. Five European nations are competing in this event, which is a tune-up for the European Championships at Llandrindod Wells, Wales, in September 2026. This may be the first time a KLBC member has represented a country at an outdoor international competition. 23 November 2025: They saved their best for last. KLBC's Jim Baggs, Carol-Anne Bell, Scott Bell, and Phil Pownall took home the silver medal (out of 16 teams) in the National Short Mat Championships in Lindsay on Sunday. With this result, all four will be going to Norway next March (as part of the 20-player Canadian delegation) to play in the World Short Mat Championships! Great stuff! Pierre and Louise won all their games, outscoring their opposition by an aggregate score of 62-23. Well done, guys!

The Men's Fours team of Curtis Wartman (KLBC), Jim Baggs (KLBC), Phil Pownall (KLBC) and Isaac Kerr (Belleville) defeated their Quebec counterparts, while Scott Bell (KLBC) won the Men's Novice Singles event against his Quebec opponent. Well done, everyone!
